Leave it to Chevy to stick a Vega engine in a Ferrari 365GTC/4 body

I remember seeing these everywhere when I was growing up, in their various GM variants. I liked them, as a five-year old car fan who knows nothing about rust or reliability would.

Then at some point, I looked up, and they'd all vanished. Dust in the wind, no doubt.

I was 9 when these first came out, and I always thought they were ugly as sin. I still do. Such a sad automotive era. My first true automotive love was the neon green X1/9 that parked across the street from my house. I thought it looked like an X-wing fighter. Little did I know they came with a sewing machine motor.
